MEETING MEDITATION COURSE

Tuesdays 7:15-8:45pm for 5 weeks beginning 30th April

Upstairs at The Yoga Hall, St Albans Town Centre

Whether you are a complete beginner, looking to return to a meditation practice or just wish to find out more ways to support your well-being, then this five week course is for you.

We will be looking at the benefits of a variety of meditation practices from yoga tradition which can be used individually or gradually combined to create a bespoke practice that supports you as an individual.

These included pranayama (breathing techniques), visualisation, mantra, intention and contemplation.

As well as experiencing them, we can see how they can be tailored to suit our own unique physical, mental and emotional requirements.

We will begin each session by gently preparing the body for meditation with mindful movement and end each session with time for rest and integration.

Earth & Essence: A day of mindful creativity with yoga & pottery

Start your day with a grounding yoga session, incorporating gentle movement, pranayama, and meditation.

This practice will help centre your mind and body, preparing you for a day of creative exploration and relaxation.

After the yoga session, indulge in a delicious plant-based lunch, thoughtfully prepared to nourish your body and provide sustenance for the creative journey ahead. Take this time to savour the flavours and connect with your new retreat friends in the tranquil surroundings of our countryside yurt.

Following lunch, immerse yourself in the soothing art of pottery-making. Guided by mindfulness principles, you'll embark on a journey of self-discovery as you mould clay into a pinch/thumb pot with your eyes closed. Connecting with the material, and allowing your creativity to flow freely. Release tension and expectations as you embrace the therapeutic nature of working with clay.

To conclude our day of mindful exploration, experience the transformative power of a sound bath meditation.
