It’s OK to feel confused, to lack clarity and direction

It’s OK to be sad, disheartened and fed up

It’s OK to be angry, afraid and despair of certain people and situations

It’s OK to feel feelings that aren’t great all of the time
It’s OK for our thoughts to not be positively high vibe all of the time.

It’s even OK to stop, rest and let everything slide for a bit.

All of these thoughts & feelings are a natural part of the human experience.

This idea that we need to be on top of everything and feeling bright and shiny with a zest for success and self improvement all of the time is a lie that we have been sold to keep us producing and consuming.

We are worth more than that.

We are here to experience our humanity but our conditioning and the pressure to keep busy and to conform to social norms deny us that.

We each are an ocean of experiences, and waves of every kind of thought and feeling are ours to be acknowledged and felt.

Pushing against the thoughts and feelings we have been conditioned to believe are “negative” is exhausting and it doesn’t really make them go away either.

If anything, they return again and again even increasing in intensity until we accept them, until we feel them fully and let them wash through us.

Please don’t think you are any less of a person when you are having a down day, a worse week, a maddening month or even a discombobulating year!

We have high and low periods in our lives.

All of us.

And that’s OK.
